Need help with new relationship advice fast.?

ok so i started seeing this guy like 3months ago we've known each other since high school though . lost contact and reconnected. things have been going really well except for the fact that we don't go out. at all . i mean never but we really close though , we have even said those scary words ';i love u'; anyway so its Christmas and this year i opted to not go to my family and friends and he did the same only his brother kept calling and now he decided he will take his cousin with him to see his brother. ok so they were going to go by train right ... then he asked me to come along, now mind u i haven't met any member of his family and its a big deal to me except he doesn't drive and i do and he said we should drive up together its like a four hour drive and part of me wants to jump at the opportunity to take our relationship to the next level yet another part wants him to ask me because he wants to not because he needs a ride and doesn't want to take the train. please help me decide soon.Need help with new relationship advice fast.?
