NEED ADVICE...I work in an office of 8 women. It was obvious to all that a new hire and i did NOT get along.?

The new hire has recently gotten a new job and is leaving. One of the girls suggested we have a potluck. I expressed my dissappointment that we didn't have a potluck for any of the past workers why should we have one for her. What should I do?NEED ADVICE...I work in an office of 8 women. Potlucks are fun, so start a new office tradition. Any excuse for a party! Go, and be totally gracious. Always behave in a way that would make you proud of yourself, and you'll have no regrets. Do unto others is still the best rule. I hope you have fun at the potluck. After all, if you don't like her, you have the most to celebrate with her leaving (just don't tell anyone that's why you're so jovial). So, make your best dish, put on your prettiest smile, have a good time, and wish your coworker well.NEED ADVICE...I work in an office of 8 women. It should be suggested that you go ahead and take something and join your friends. Anyways, your friends will still be around the office and you don't want to feel awkward being with or around them after this new hire is gone.

Who says things can't be changed. Maybe it's not that they cherish this woman more than the others that had left. It is just that someone came up with this new idea this time around.

Take something, go to the potluck and smile and mingle. You'll be glad you did.
Think of it this way..it's a party cause she is leaving..so participate, You don't have to interact with her that much..eat have a good time with the other co-workers and show you can be an adult about it all.

The food is for everyone..it's not like they asked you to buy her a present. Life too short to make a big deal out of this. Good luck
It it will take place at work, suck it up and participate. Otherwise, you have a prior engagement.
dont go to the potluck
