Advice? What are some tricks to adjusting to new job with new clientel? Anxiety level is up do to this change!

All new jobs require an adjustment period, usually 1-3 months depending on the job. Try circling a date on your calendar that's at least a month away, and promise yourself that you won't be too hard on yourself until you hit that date. You'll be surprised how fast the time goes by, and when the date comes, I bet you'll be all settled in.

And remember, you're not alone, people change jobs all the time. There are probably lots of other anxious people trying to get started just like you.

Not sure what sort of work you do, but think about what you need to prepare, such as ordering business cards.

If appropriate, call clientele to introduce yourself. Can you give some sort of opening special discount to get things going?

Also, if you're nervous, get a nice new haircut or buy some new clothes. You'll feel more confident when you look your best.

If your job has colleagues, as someone out for coffee on your first day. Try to solicit some tips for success in the new workplace. See if you can build a relationship so you will have someone to grab lunch with.
