From Miami to New York city? Advice needed.?

I am a junior in high school but would like to sort of plan out what exactly it is that i am going to be doing once i graduate.I was born in Puerto Rico,but grew up in Miami,been here since age 3.


Miami, sure it's a gorgeous place but I barely go out.My dad is very protective which is the reason that i don't go out,So put it like this, tourists have seen more of Miami then i have and I've lived here for years.New York seems like such an interesting place and I might be in the whole ';Modeling,Art'; field.Everything planned out well, do you think i should move to New York once I am out of high school.


and if so what are the negative parts towards living in New york.From Miami to New York city? Advice needed.?
a cheap apartment in ny is $2000 per month (check craigslist). You will need to save up a security deposit, first months rent and possibly last months rent. And then assume that it will take you a few weeks to get a job and once you do it will take a few weeks before you get paid.

New York is expensive to live in, you will need a decent job just to pay rent, why don't you just go to college first before you decide to move to NY, unless you decide you want to go to college in NY, which is expensive also
