Advice for 8th grader who's new to a school?

8th grade is supposed to be fun and relaxing as a senior of middle school and all, but I'm new and everyone's already acquainted with everyone. I feel SO AKWARD and I'm not very good at starting conversations. Any advice?Advice for 8th grader who's new to a school?
Just find something about you and wait for the perfect time to tell everyone about it, I just started 9th grade and i did the same thing. My cousin is a starting FB for ECU and i was in a class where i new very little people. And a guy happens to walk in wearing an ECU shirt so i told him about it and started a conversation, then you can eat with him at lunch at become friends with his friends. hope this helpsAdvice for 8th grader who's new to a school?
if there is one thing you can do, its too NOT to try to fit in. id you do, you will only make yourself look like a fool later on. I understand how you feel, being a foster kid, and I have been in a lot of similar situations. the only thing you can do is go in, and be yourself. i know it sounds like repetitive advice but its true. if you try to be something your not, then you will only look worse for it later on. Just go in there, find your self a group, and hang out. And if you cant find one, make one, but over all just be yourself.
It's good you realize it's supposed to be fun, but here's hoping you know there's some work also. To not feel awkward (weird word with 2 w's in it):

- Observe what to do and what not to do

- Stay pleasant without being a suck

- Don't make enemies

- Crack a joke once in a while
