What is some advice for a new waiter?? :)?

This is my first job and I finished training to become a waiter today so i believe tomorrow is my first day as a waiter on my own. What are some tips you could give me coming from a waiter or a restaurant goer? What is something you like in waiters? What are stuff that tick you off?

Worry about Accuracy not the speed becuz the speed will come to you once you get ya pattern down pat for which ever shift you may work.Customers like the accuracy of their food to be right %26amp; not the second time around unless someone in the back is messing around.Always but kind even if they tip you wrong or in a bad way.Don't be selfish help others as well becuz you never you when you may need help in your section as well.Don't sit around talking in the back with your peers becuz if you got tyme to lean you got tyme to clean so remember that ok~1~!!!

always be perky. i was a waitress and people hate it when your not chatty then they think you're snobby. all the waiters where i worked got bigger tips if they flirted with the ladies tha werent with guys. no matter how old just flirt very slightly and you can get yourself a bigger tip. works the same way with waitresses and guys.





no matter what you will run into asshole customers, but brush it off keep a good attitude with your other tables so you dont lower your other tips. joke a lot. smile a lot. and be as prompt yet not pushy as you can.
Ok..well it's never bad just to flirt a little..lol..and be REALLY niice, cause that's always a good thing, and people really appreciate it. Also, SMILE a lot, but not too creepy..lol...I don't like when waiters push you of ordering more or something more expensive, i just hate that..lol..i mean come on im the one dining here, not you..you know...

Quit, now. Just kidding!! i am a waitress. it is hard work, but can be financially rewarding. i think the biggest thing is to not let rude customers get to you. Some people are never satisfied, no matter how good something is. Just smile and move on. And remember to wear comfortable shoes.
Just remember that gov't workers, rednecks, african-americans, rich white people will not tip. Don't bother going above and beyond for them b/c you will only piss off the kitchen staff.
